Vice President of Communications

Jennifer has spent 25 years helping non-profits build awareness and drive action on issues ranging from children’s poverty, safety, education and hunger, to land conservation, environmental preservation, and transportation reform, to mental health policy, arts advocacy, and women’s rights. She is recognized for developing meaningful and effective ways for people to connect with a mission, creating champions and advocates through powerful storytelling and purposeful engagement. Prior to joining RAINN, she was Head of Communications for EdTech Hub, a global research program charged with empowering decision-makers in low- and middle-income countries with the evidence they need to make the best education technology choices for vulnerable children. Jennifer has built and led communication teams at organizations including Share Our Strength, Save the Children, and Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, and designed engagement campaigns for national and global nonprofits and purpose-driven Fortune 100 companies through her work with Dun & Bradstreet and Social Capital. Based in Maryland, Jennifer enjoys a BA from James Madison University in journalism and theater – two equally useful degrees when your life’s work is storytelling for change. Her side passions include baking, playing music and adopting unadoptable pets.
