SWEEPSTAKES RULES 

NO DONATION NECESSARY. PARTICIPATION IN THIS SWEEPSTAKES DOES NOT REQUIRE ENTRANT TO MAKE A DONATION TO RAINN (RAPE, ABUSE & INCEST NATIONAL NETWORK). MAKING A DONATION WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

1. Why Participate: The object of the I Believe Survivors Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is to bolster RAINN’s (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) (the “Sponsor”) mission to assist survivors of sexual violence and educate the public. The Sponsor’s website will act as the host site for the Sweepstakes (“Website”), and may be accessed at https://rainn.org.
2. Eligibility: Except where regulated or restricted by law, the Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees and their immediate family members (parents, children, siblings or spouse, regardless of where they live, or persons living in same household, whether related or not) of Sponsor, their subsidiaries, affiliates, contractors, consultants, legal counsel, public relations, subsidiaries, sales representatives, website providers, webmasters, advertising and promotional, and marketing agencies, and any others engaged in the development, production, execution or distribution of this Sweepstakes are not eligible to enter or win. Other eligibility requirements and conditions of participation are set forth below in these Official Rules for the Sweepstakes (“Official Rules”). All federal, state, municipal, and local laws and regulations apply. THE SWEEPSTAKES IS VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW.
3. Entry Period: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on September 18, 2019, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on September 30, 2019 (the “Entry Period”).
4. How to Enter: Eligible individuals (“Entrant”) have the following two options to enter the Sweepstakes (each an “Entry” and collectively, the “Entries”):
   1. ACTION PAGE SUBMISSION: By submitting your name, email address, and zip code on the designated action page, you will be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes with one Entry into the Drawing (defined below). Each person may enter the Drawing only one time.
   2. FREE MAIL-IN ENTRY: Entrants who do not wish to or are unable to enter the Sweepstakes via email may enter by following the mail-in process. To enter using the mail-in process, the Entrant must, on a plain 3” x 5” card, legibly write the Entrant’s name, complete address, city, state, zip code, phone number (including area code), signature, and email address (if any). Then, mail your 3” x 5” card in a postage-affixed sealed envelope to: “I Believe Survivors Sweepstakes” at RAINN, 1220 L Street NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20005. Each mail-in Entry received during the Entry Period will receive one Entry into the Sweepstakes. All mail-in Entries must be handwritten. No mechanically or programmatically reproduced mail-in Entries are permitted and will be void. One mail-in Entry per envelope. Only Entries that fully comply with the mail-in entry requirements as set forth herein, including information that is complete and legible and signed by the Entrant, will be eligible for the Sweepstakes. Only one mail-in Entry may be accepted for each individual.
5. Entry Conditions: Entries must be received during the Entry Period to be eligible for the Sweepstakes. Entrants must meet all eligibility requirements listed herein. The email provided by Entrants will be the identity of the Entrant and, if selected and qualified for the Prize (defined below), the identity of the winner. The use of a fake profile or submitting with multiple profiles will disqualify an Entrant. Use of agencies or robotic, repetitive, programmed or similar entry methods is prohibited. All Entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and waive any right to claim ambiguity in this Sweepstakes or these Official Rules and to conform to all federal, state, municipal, and local laws. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Neither Sponsor, nor any telephone network, nor any service provider is responsible for incorrect transcription of Entry information, or for any human error, technical malfunctions, lost/delayed data transmission, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, line failures or any telephone network, computer equipment, software, inability to access any website or online service, or any other error or malfunction, or late, lost, illegible, incomplete, damaged, or misdirected Entries or Entries not properly forwarded to Sponsor.
6. Selection of Prize Winner: There will be five winners (“Winners”) in this Sweepstakes. The Winners of the Sweepstakes will be selected in a random drawing (“Drawing”), which will be held on or about October 11, 2019. The Drawing will be conducted by Sponsor or its representatives, whose decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Each person may only win one prize.
7. Prize and Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): The five winners will receive one RAINN “I Believe You” mug (ARV $15).
8. Prize Conditions: Lost, stolen or damaged prizes will not be replaced or exchanged. No substitution of prizes will be permitted. If the Prize cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. The Winner may waive their right to receive the Prize. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-refundable, has no cash value, and must be accepted by the Winner as awarded. Winner is solely responsible for complying with any applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations applicable to the Prize. All costs associated with acceptance or use of the Prize, except as expressly set forth in the Official Rules, are the sole responsibility of the Winner. To the extent required by law, Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099 to the Winner to report the value of the Prize received. Sponsor will be responsible to pay all federal, state, and local taxes for the value of the Prize on behalf of the Winner.
9. Winner Notification and Conditions: The Winner will be notified within 7 days after the date of the Drawing by email. The Winner will be required to complete, sign, and return an affidavit of eligibility, liability release, publicity release (where legal), and appropriate tax documents (the “Documents”) within 72 hours of delivery of the Documents, or the Prize will be forfeited in its entirety. At the sole discretion of the Sponsor, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following: (a) the Winner’s failure to timely respond to the notification; (b) the return of the email notification as undeliverable for any reason; (c) the Winner’s failure to validly and timely claim the Prize; (d) Winner’s failure to deliver to Sponsor the completed Documents and any additional consents or information requested by Sponsor within 72 hours after receipt of the notification; or (e) any other non-compliance with the Official Rules. In the event of Prize forfeiture, the Sponsor will award the forfeited Prize to an alternate Winner. The difference in value will not be awarded to the Winner.
10. Prize Delivery: Sponsor will coordinate delivery of the Prize with the Winner within 120 days after (a) the Winner confirms acceptance of the Prize, (b) Winner has executed and returned the Documents and any other requested documentation to Sponsor, and (c) Sponsor has confirmed the Winner’s eligibility to win the Prize.
11. Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend on the number of Entries received during the Entry Period.
12. Conditions, Disclaimers, and License: By entering the Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees that: (a) he or she will abide by and be bound by these Official Rules; (b) Entries will not be acknowledged; (c) neither Sponsor nor any of its affiliated companies or the advertising and promotional agencies affiliated with Sponsor or those affiliated companies, nor any of their officers, directors, employees, agents or representatives (collectively, Sponsor’s “Affiliates”) are responsible for claims, injuries, death, losses or damages of any kind resulting from participation or inability to participate in the Sweepstakes, or the awarding, acceptance, use, misuse, possession, loss or misdirection of the Prize; (d) Sponsor is not responsible for any inability of the Winner to accept the Prize for any reason; and (e) by entering the Sweepstakes, all Entrants further agree that Sponsor has the sole right to decide all matters relating to the Sweepstakes, including fact, interpretation, eligibility, procedure, fulfillment, and disputes from the Sweepstakes. Neither Sponsor nor its Affiliates are responsible for (i) any typographical or other errors in the printing of the promotion materials or the offering or announcement of the Prizes, (ii) any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in operation or transmission at any website, (iii) failure of any Entry to be received by Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, (iv) communications line, hardware and/or software failures, or (v) damage to any computer (software or hardware) resulting from participation in the Sweepstakes. Entries are void if inaccurate, incomplete, tampered with, misdirected, late, irregular in any way, or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules. Although Sponsor attempts to ensure the integrity of the Sweepstakes, neither Sponsor nor its Affiliates are responsible for the actions of Entrants or other individuals in connection with the Sweepstakes, including attempts by Entrants or other individuals to circumvent these Official Rules or otherwise interfere with the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned by reason of damage by computer virus, worms, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical limitations or failures, strikes, industry conditions, bankruptcy or liquidation, marketplace demands, applicable law, unforeseen obstacles, or any other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, could corrupt, compromise, undermine, or otherwise affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, viability, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to modify these Official Rules, and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend all or any part of the Sweepstakes, and in the event of cancellation or termination, to select Winners from among all eligible non-suspect Entries received up to the time of such cancellation, termination, modification, or suspension, as applicable. If the Sweepstakes is terminated by Sponsor as set forth above, Sponsor will post notice of such termination on the Website. Inclusion in such drawing will be each Entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy under such circumstances. Proof of submitting an Entry will not be deemed receipt of such Entry by Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at any time and in its sole discretion, to disqualify or deem ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes, any individual suspected of tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes; acting in violation of these Official Rules or Sponsor’s terms of service, privacy policy or other terms, conditions or guidelines; acting in bad faith or in a disruptive manner, or with the intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person; or violating these Official Rules. Any attempt by an Entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes is a violation of these Official Rules, as well as criminal and civil laws. Should Sponsor believe or become aware that such an attempt has been, is being, or will be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages from any responsible Entrant(s) and other responsible individual(s) in the attempted damage to the fullest extent permitted by law, including without limitation, criminal prosecution.
13. Release and Indemnification: BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANTS RELEASE AND HOLD THE SPONSOR AND ITS AFFILIATES HARMLESS FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL LOSSES, DAMAGES, RIGHT, CLAIMS, AND ACTIONS OF ANY KIND ARISING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM THE SWEEPSTAKES OR PARTICIPATION IN ANY SWEEPSTAKES-RELATED ACTIVITY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, ACCESS TO ANY MATERIALS, OR RESULTING DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, USE OR MISUSE OF ANY PRIZE AWARDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE SWEEPSTAKES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, AS WELL AS CLAIMS BASED ON PUBLICITY RIGHTS, DEFAMATION, AND/OR INVASION OF PRIVACY. WINNER AGREES THAT THE RELEASED PARTIES WILL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR, AND SHALL BE HELD HARMLESS BY WINNER AGAINST ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES, LOSSES, OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND TO PERSON(S), INCLUDING DEATH, OR PROPERTY RESULTING IN WHOLE OR IN PART, DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION, MISUSE, OR USE OF ANY PRIZE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PERSONAL INJURY, DEATH, AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE ARISING FROM USE OR RECEIPT OF PRIZE.
14. Miscellaneous:
    1. Applicable Law: This Sweepstakes, and any disputes that may arise hereunder, shall be governed in all respects by the laws of the District of Columbia without regard to the conflicts of laws principles of any jurisdiction. As a condition of participating in this Sweepstakes, each Entrant agrees that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, exclusively before a court located in the District of Columbia. Further, in any such dispute, under no circumstances will an Entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, other than the Entrant’s actual out-of-pocket expenses (i.e., costs associated with entering this Sweepstakes), and Entrant further waives all rights to have damages multiplied or increased.
    2. Privacy Policy: Information submitted in connection with the Sweepstakes will be treated in accordance with these Official Rules and Sponsor’s Privacy Policy (as may be amended from time to time); provided that, in the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and such Privacy Policy, the terms and conditions of the Official Rules shall prevail.
    3. Publicity Release: Except where prohibited, by accepting a Prize, the Winner grants permission for Sponsor and its agents to use his/her name, voice and/or likeness, for advertising, merchandising, promotion and/or publicity purposes in any and all media now known or hereinafter invented without territorial or time limitations and without additional compensation.
15. Official Rules: The Official Rules will be posted on the Website throughout the Entry Period. By entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, each Entrant represents and warrants that all information provided by Entrant in connection with the Sweepstakes is true, accurate and complete, and each Entrant fully and unconditionally agrees to and accepts these Official Rules and decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes will be run in accordance with the Official Rules, subject to amendment by Sponsor. Each Entrant must comply with the Official Rules and will be deemed to have received and understood the Official Rules by participating in the Sweepstakes. The terms of the Sweepstakes, as set out in the Official Rules, are not subject to amendment or counteroffer, except as set out herein. If any provisions of the Official Rules are held to be invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions hereof will remain in full force and effect. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of the Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision.

17. Winners’ List Request: For the name of the Winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope postmarked to: I Believe Survivors Sweepstakes, Attn: Winner List, RAINN, 1220 L Street NW, Suite 500, Washington, DC 20005.
18. Non-Affiliation Disclaimer: This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any social media site, email service provider, or e-commerce site.
