CNN to Broadcast College Sexual Assault Documentary The Hunting Ground

CNN will broadcast The Hunting Ground, the groundbreaking feature documentary about sexual assault on American college campuses, on Sunday, November 22 at 8 pm Eastern.

Following the film, CNN will host a roundtable discussion of survivors, experts, and the filmmakers, who will discuss the sensitive, complex issues explored in the film.

The Hunting Ground tells the stories of survivors and loved ones affected by campus sexual assault — and the institutional responses that they encountered.

Released at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, The Hunting Ground received wide critical acclaim. The film’s theme song, “Til It Happens To You” by Lady Gaga, released a music video in September, which featured the National Sexual Assault Hotline.

Filmmakers Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering have worked with RAINN, the White House’s It’s On Us initiative, and advocacy group Know Your IX to ensure that viewers are connected with the resources and help they need and created the website See Act Stop to help viewers.

Join RAINN and See Act Stop to host a screening party and build a conversation within your community about how to address campus sexual assault.

The film will be simulcast via CNN’s iPad app or www.CNN.com/go.
