Julia George, development director, western region

Julia George is the development director at RAINN, where she focuses on major donor recruitment, engagement, and stewardship in the western region of the United States. She is based out of Santa Barbara, California.

Before joining RAINN, George served in various development roles at Penn State University. Prior to that, she worked for Sustain OC (previously CleanTech OC) as the development manager. George has served in other fundraising roles throughout the Orange County, California area. In her current role, she partners with RAINN’s supporters to ensure vital programs and services to support survivors of sexual violence and their loved ones are fully funded.

George is a long-time leadership volunteer for the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance and supports the fundraising efforts of her alma mater, the College of William and Mary. She also serves as an advisor for the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.

George earned her BA from the College of William and Mary and received a fundraising certification from the University of California, Irvine.
