Consulting Services Internship (Remote)

The Consulting Services Intern will support RAINN's Consulting Services and Business Development (CSBD) department in its work with organizations seeking to improve their prevention and response to sexual misconduct. The Consulting Services Intern will assist in the review of research, development of best practices, and evaluation of specific client programs.

College or Graduate students with an emphasis in their studies on Public Health, Social Work, Gender Studies, Political Science, Business, or Public and/or Non-profit Administration are encouraged to apply. However, all areas of studies are welcome.

This position will start in June 2021, with work completed remotely.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities. The Consulting Services Intern will work closely with the Director of Consulting Services, the Vice President, and other members of the department to provide support in the following areas:

Conducting research in prevention and response efforts (i.e., statutes and regulatory law, medical and mental health support for victims, and programmatic strategies)

Supporting business development by researching potential clients, sectors, and industries Providing editing and content review

Developing visual presentations for internal and external meetings

Drafting proposals and outreach materials

Position Specific Requirements

Desired Qualities:

  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong research skills (experience with comprehensive literature reviews a plus)
  • Robust qualitative analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills
  • Aptitude to deliver in accordance with project timelines
  • Capability to successfully complete a criminal background check administered by RAINN

Desired Education:

  • At least one completed year at an institution of higher education This is a remote, unpaid, part-time position and requires a minimum of 12 hours per week. CSBD employees will work with the student and the university to ensure college credit is given for the internship, if applicable.
