DNA evidence is widely called the "fingerprint of the twenty-first century," and has the unequaled ability to identify rapists and exonerate innocent suspects. But the use of DNA evidence has not kept pace with its potential.
RAINN supports providing resources for victims, including funding under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), Sexual Assault Services Program (SASP), and Victims of Crime Act (VOCA).
