RAINN partnered with Nickelodeon’s teen network, The N, and its #1 show, Degrassi, for the season's premiere episode, dealing with the issue of child sexual abuse. Following the airing of the episode, “Jane Says,” calls to the National Sexual Assault Hotline increased 500%! In the episode, one of the main characters, Jane Vaughn, deals with the fact that her father sexually abused her as a child.

A PSA by actress Paula Brancati, who plays the character Jane Vaughn, aired in conjunction with the episode. RAINN worked closely with The N to ensure that their viewers learned about the critical recovery resources available through the National Sexual Assault Hotlines (800.656.HOPE and online at rainn.org).
