Position Description
RAINN is seeking an intern to work with RAINN’s online training program. RAINN maintains a training website at www.RAINNtrain.org where staff and volunteers from rape crisis centers across the country can complete online trainings, download lesson plans and participate in webinars, all at no cost to the individuals or their organizations. The training intern will assist the training and technical assistance manager in developing and overseeing those trainings.

Undergraduate or graduate students in social work, education, gender studies and psychology are encouraged to apply. This is a part-time, unpaid position, on-site at RAINN's offices in Washington, DC.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The training intern will assist in the development of online trainings for www.RAINNtrain.org
  • Duties may include assisting in research and curriculum development; designing activities; proof-reading and editing; providing feedback and assistance to participants in online trainings.
  • This internship may be tailored to the abilities of a particular intern and their educational needs.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Computer literacy is required
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Strong interest in sexual violence prevention
  • Experience in rape crisis counseling or crisis intervention is desirable, but not required

Course Credit

  • We will work with the intern and university to ensure that credit is given for the internship
