Job Description
The Marketing Coordinator is an entry-level position responsible for coordinating RAINN’s marketing activities and maintaining RAINN’s website and social networking sites. Will have extensive contact with community organizations, college campuses and other partners to promote awareness of RAINN’s programs and initiatives. Key responsibilities include coordinating outreach efforts for an educational campaign on university campuses. Experience creating print brochures and/or web-based materials using photoshop or equivalent program and an eye for design is a plus. The Marketing Coordinator will report to the VP of Communications.
Duties
- Identify and develop strategic marketing partnerships to promote RAINN’s hotlines
- Maintain RAINN’s website, including content, banners and links
- Conduct marketing campaign to recruit online hotline volunteers
- Coordinate national education and outreach program on university and high school campuses
- Assist in creation of marketing materials and web content and maintain RAINN website
- Maintain and expand social networking program, including adding friends and designing creative banners and bulletins to promote RAINN’s messages.

- Exceptional written and oral communication skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and a strong team ethic
- Passion for RAINN’s mission to prevent sexual assault, punish its perpetrators and help its victims.
- Bachelor’s degree
Salary/Benefits
Salary based on experience of applicant. Benefits include health insurance, a 403(b)(7) retirement plan, casual office environment and flex time. RAINN is an equal opportunity employer.
Organizational Background
RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network) is America’s largest anti-sexual assault organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotlines (800.656.HOPE and rainn.org), which have helped more than one million people since 1994.
In addition to the hotlines, RAINN operates education and outreach programs to prevent sexual assault, encourage victims to report their attack to police, and make victims aware of available services. RAINN also leads national efforts to improve sexual assault laws and the criminal justice process. We work extensively with the media and with the entertainment industry to provide vital information about sexual assault to the public.
