Web / Graphic Design Internship

The Design intern assists in the organization’s online presence, including website, social networking profiles, web banners and promotional materials. He/She will assist in the design and development of marketing campaigns and will work with the Communications and IT Team to ensure consistency in RAINN’s brand for all web-based and printed materials.

Duties

• Assist in management of online presence, including RAINN website and social networking profiles (MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
• Create/design/prepare site graphics (banners, buttons, headings, logos, and images)
• Create/design banner ads for use by third parties
• Format new content
• Create/design/develop email newsletters and announcements
• Create/design RAINN print materials (newsletters, brochures, handouts, posters)
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Proficiency in HTML and CSS; Dreamweaver
• Proficiency in Photshop &/or Quark & ImageReady; InDesign, Illustrator, & Flash experience a plus
• Knowledge in: web usability, navigation, and accessibility concepts; user interface design; information architecture; web design, color, and typology principles
• Knowledge of content management systems
