The Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network is the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. RAINN operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline (1.800.656.HOPE) and the National Sexual Assault Online Hotline, and publicizes the hotline’s free, confidential services; educates the public about sexual violence; and leads national efforts to prevent sexual violence, improve services to victims and ensure that rapists are brought to justice.
RAINN has been ranked as one of “America’s 100 Best Charities” by Worth magazine. Marie Claire magazine has named RAINN one of the ten best charities in the country, and RAINN is rated four stars, the highest rating, by CharityNavigator.com.

Internship Listings by Department
The Communications Department uses its community partnerships and extensive entertainment industry relationships to put critical information into the hands of young women and men across the nation. Through these efforts, the department educates more than 120 million Americans each year about sexual violence.
Since 2006, RAINN’s National Sexual Assault Online Hotline, has helped over 45,000 people. The Online Hotline, was the nation’s first secure web-based hotline that provides live and completely confidential help to victims online. In addition to helping with research and administrative tasks, interns are trained to provide much-needed support to victims of sexual assault as well as their friends and family members.
The IT Department handles all of RAINN's technology infrastructure including its web properties and employee support.
The Development Department is responsible for raising the funds to operate RAINN’s programs to prevent sexual violence and support victims. The team raises money through cultivating relationships and securing donations from individuals, businesses, charitable foundations and corporations.
The Public Policy Department monitors and analyzes federal and state regulations and legislation relating to sexual assault. It also educates Members of Congress about issues of importance to rape victims and works collaboratively with allied organizations to advance an anti-sexual assault policy agenda.
